“New Consultants ask me all the time, ‘How do you find your new clients?’ There are so many people in this world with skin, it is really not that hard! But, in this world of email, cell phones, texting, and social networking, I find that you need to be open to all of it to communicate with your potential Clients.
“Over the last couple of months, I have found that I have been most successful when I am consistently reaching out to people through various communication methods. There are some people who will still talk on the phone, but so many others will respond more quickly with a text message. A quick text works great … ‘Hi Jen, can I drop off that Apriori Beauty sample today?’ I have sold product to Clients literally all through text messaging. The same is true for email. I love to talk to someone in person, but so many women are so busy, that sometimes email works better. The Sponsoring Tool in the Back Office is one of the best ways to connect someone to your website. Let your prospective Client know that you are going to send them a link to become your Client. Even if they don’t order right away, as a Client, she will now receive the monthly emails from Apriori Beauty. The marketing is being done for you!
“I also use Facebook a lot. There is a reason it is called social networking, and this is a great vehicle to be social! I do love wall posts about Apriori Beauty, but I also find that it is important to use Facebook to be social with your friends. It is very attractive to others for them to see that you have a business and a social life! Also, Facebook is a great tool to connect and reconnect with other friends that have home-based businesses. I have purchased products from other women’s businesses, and they have supported me by purchasing Apriori Beauty, all through Facebook messaging without ever trying the products!
“Pictures really do sell! I am always on the watch for pictures that Apriori Beauty or other Consultants post on Facebook. I share those on my wall. The Before and After picture of the “hands” of the Pure Perfecting Powder sold product on the spot to a couple of my Facebook friends! Incredible!
“YouTube is also a great visual for your prospective clients. Apriori Beauty has posted a couple of great videos on the business opportunity and the products. Include links in your email signatures, post one on Facebook every couple of weeks, send one directly to a Client who is currently using a sample. This is great third party validation, and fun for your prospective Clients to watch!
“I still love to talk on the phone with Clients, and will leave messages to follow up on samples or to check-in on how they are doing with their products. However, I believe that to be successful in this business, you do need to utilize all different communication methods available to us.
“The past couple of months, I have also spent a lot of time attending different networking events and holiday shopping fairs. Again, network with other women who have home-based businesses (with product lines different than ours) and support each other! In fact, I have a great new Consultant and friend that I met through one of these networking events. At holiday shopping fairs, set up a beautiful, but simple table. Have products available for people to try. Be ready to take orders, but use this time as an opportunity to make contacts. At these events, I have been selling the Turn Back Time Capsule for $5 each, and the Micro Scrubs for $1. People are more likely to try the sample if they have paid for it! I make sure I ask each person for their contact information, and of course, I follow-up with a phone call and email. I also email each of them a Client link through the Sponsoring Tool. I consider the event a success if I have at least two new Clients from it.
“Just as there are so many ways to find new clients and to communicate with them, there are so many ways to share our products! I do love the Turn Back Time Capsule, and feel it is one of the most creative marketing tools in the industry. However, I do more. There are some women who really enjoy trying the actual products. When I have an extra 30 day Celloxylin set, I will put it into a small cosmetic bag and will give it to a friend to sample. This has resulted in incredible sales for me. One friend bought not only the 30-day set (the one I gave her), but a full size Celloxylin set, and a scrub! Since then, she has re-ordered twice!
“I also carry the new Pure Pefecting Veil with me in my handbag. Just putting that product on the back of someone’s hand can lead to an instant sale. It is truly phenomenal coverage and feels like silk! The DFI is another product you can carry with you to show someone instant results.
“The secret to having incredible retail sales is to take advantage of all of today’s technology to tell people about our products. Share your products, even if that means your own personal products. Carry Apriori Beauty products with you all the time. Have patience. The products you share today may result in sales months later. Be consistent and follow up! The best advice I can give a new Consultant is to believe in what you are selling. Be excited, passionate and have fun. That is true beauty!”
